Checklists - Job Selection Details
This section lists the job categories and options included in the Job Selection checklist. Click Edit to make changes.
Categories and Options
A Category is the heading displayed to the user on the VAC describing the menu choices. Category Options are the selectable items listed beneath each category. Sub-categories allow for additional levels within a selection tree, enabling users to drill down to a specific job. Multiple levels of sub-categories (2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.) can be added to any category.
For example, a category might be "Which shift are you working?" with options for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Selecting an option such as 1st shift can then present a sub-category, such as "Where are you working?" with options like Receiving Dock, Putaway, or Shipping Dock.
A Job Code is a unique code linked to a specific job selection and must be assigned to the final option in each branch of the selection tree. For example, if 1st shift has additional sub-categories but 2nd and 3rd shift do not, the 2nd and 3rd shift options would require job codes while 1st shift would not, as it has further selections beneath it. If a required job code does not exist, it can be added.
Click the caret icon to the right of a job category to rename or delete it.
Click the caret icon to the right of a job option to rename, delete, reorder, or add a new option before or after it.
Click Add Option to add a new option at the end of the list, enter the option name, and click the Job Code link to assign a job code from the selection window. Click Save when finished.
